May 27th through 31st

After what was an interesting (spiritually challenging :-)) few days, our plane tickets have been purchased by Nevada and we are GOOD TO GO!   We are scheduled to fly out on May 27th and return with Benjamin on May 31st.   We have two very busy weeks ahead of us.   The timing is perfect, of course, and now we just need to get busy.   We are thankful and full of joy!  Still, we are thinking of the “other mothers” out there.. and there are a few..  on Mothers Day we had many  mothers in our prayers.. birth moms, foster moms.. so many in our lives.  We are all connected by very special children and the mix of emotions and experiences that come with every end of adoption.   May God richly bless each of them.

YAHOOO! BEN’S COMING HOME!

In case you can’t tell from these pictures, we got good news today that our new son, new brother, is coming home!  The hearing today at court ended all delays, and now it is just a matter of buying plane tickets and flying.  The dates will either be the  18th through the 24th or.. we have to wait till June 16th (the worker will be on vacation the first two weeks of June).  So, we are praying for May!  The kids are all ECSTATIC!   Jesse seems to express it most fully……

First track meet ever!

Jubilee and Valerie joined the track team at the local middle school this year.  Today was their first track meet ever!  They had lots of fun :^)”Talk to me not of time and place; I owe I’m happy to the chase!”~Shakespeare, Epistle to David Garrick, Esq

Jesse’s 9th Birthday!!

He’s 9.. can’t believe it!  Jesse chose Mountain Pies as his birthday dinner, so we made them around the fire (easy kid!!).  Then he opened presents and had cake w/our family. Next year is his BIG TEN!  He’s been waiting for that big party for a couple years now!  We do a big party for the 10th (and 16th) b-days and our other birthdays are smaller family affairs :).   Thank you, God, for Jesse’s life, for bringing him to us from the other end of the world, and for each precious day we’ve had him as our son!
