Sheri, So, I have to say for the record: there are some women who shouldn't read this book b/c they will get hung up on very small things (not wrong things, just opinions or examples that may not fit every person's situation, or their understanding of Scripture on small issues).. and get in a tizzy, or whatever, and miss the boat. You aren't one of those women, and I know that you, like me, read a plethora of things and appreciate & glean, and don't sweat the small stuff. That said, this book is (if i remember correctly) mostly on respect in marriage, some on contentment, some on homemaking -- and that gem of a chapter on Principles and Methods, which covers some good things on respect between Christian women. Oh, and the Lovemaking chapter which covers..lovemaking, naturally :). She addresses specific obstacles that married women may encounter in having an abundant sex life .. her advice would be sooo helpful to so many women.. such a good perspective -- I'll definitely be giving this one to our daughters. While our doctrine is not identical to Nancy's, I deeply appreciate her and love her teaching. This week I am reading her book called Praise Her In The Gates, on mothering. So we'll see how that goes. I already got all excited about the chapter on raising sons.. read it to Rich and he "AMEN'd" it to DEATH the whole time I was reading. So we liked that chapter and picked out some ideas for our own family to implement now.... and I have more to read!
