Thorburn Family

Jesse! How our lives have changed since Jesse, 9 1/2, joined our family through adoption just over 3 years ago!  Jesse came to us from Russia.. via Texas :^), in God’s great providence and an amazing story.  What a blessing Jesse is to our family. He is full of energy, has a great sense of humor, and is always there to open the door for mom. Jesse is our chief wood-hauler for our wood stove, and has the muscles to prove it! All boy, he likes forts, trucks, fishing, dirt, and anything Dad likes.  Jesse is in 3rd grade, and does very well, despite only speaking Russian the first 6 years of his life. When we met Jesse, he informed us that he is a “cowboy,” and he’s lived up to that. Jesse is currently very interested in astronomy and “backyard ballistics” (under parents’ supervision, of course :).  Jesse recently started taking Karate, and I think we have a HIT!
